Due to SSC scam around mass cheating and paper leak allegation, the exam dates for SSC CGL 2018 got postponed and the new dates haven’t been released yet. No official notice for SSC CGL New Exam Dates has been rolled out by SSC. Earlier SSC CGL Tier I Exam was scheduled from July 25 to August 20, 2018. Now, all the registered candidates are eagerly waiting for the new exam schedule which is scheduled as below

SSC CGL 2018 Exam Dates Postponed

SSC has published the revised schedule of all the exams to be conducted by SSC during 2018-2019. According to the latest exam calendar of SSC, the Combined Graduate Level Examination – 2018 Tier-I (CBE) has been postponed and new exam date for the same will be released after the Supreme Court hearing on #SSC CGL 2017 exam.

Supreme Court’s Next Hearing

Amid the uncertainty prevailing around the conduct of SSC CGL 2018 exam and cancellation of last year’s exam, there have been various discussions and rulings that can help aspirants to know about the current situation and probable result in terms of the conduct of upcoming exam and the result of the previously held papers. The sources revealed that the Supreme Court favors scrapping of #SSC exam for 2017 in which question papers were leaked for online mains exam conducted in February this year, says that it is not possible to catch all the culprits who got benefited from the leak of paper.
The Supreme Court hearing on #SSC CGL 2017 exam was scheduled on 13th December but due to the session of winter vacations until 31st December 2018, next hearing is likely to take place in the first or second week of January 2019.

SSC CGL 2018 Online Application

The online application for SSC CGL 2018 exam has started from 5th May 2018. The last date to apply online for SSC CGL 2018 Exam was 4th June 2018.

SSC CGL Vacancy

The Central Government has announced that they will hire as many as 2.2 Lakh people from March, 2015. Out of these a maximum of 70,000 vacancies, will be created in Income Tax, Excise and Customs Department. Approximately 14 lac candidates appear for the SSC CGL exam every year. The SSC CGL Exam 2016 had an initial count of 4500 to 5000 vacancies. However, the number of vacancies was increased to 9000 later. SSC CGL 2018 Recruitment

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam for the recruitment of Grade “B” and “C” category posts in various Government Ministries, Departments and Offices. The exam is held in 4 stages called Tiers. While the first two are online the latter two are offline exams. The entire process of registration and communication happens online through the official website of SSC CGL. Candidates must qualify each stage of the SSC CGL exam to proceed to the next one, before being finally selected.

SSC CGL 2018 Application Fee

• The required application fee is Rs. 100/-
• Exemption: No fee is required to be paid by female, SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen candidates
• Applications fee should be pay only through SBI either in the form of challan or through SBI Net Banking or any other bank Credit/Debit Card. Challan form will be generated online
• To pay fee in cash, candidate should take print out of challan generated online after the completion of Part-1 registration. Deposit the requisite fee in any branch of SBI and then continue with the Part-2 registration
• Those candidates who want to pay online can go directly to part-2 registration after completion of part-1 registration. Candidate must supply registration number and date of birth to continue to Part-2 registration

Q. How many vacancies are released for SSC CGL 2018?
The number of vacancies will be determined at the time of Document Verification i.e. about one month before the declaration of the final results.
Q. Will the exam be conducted online or offline?
Written Exam for SSC CGL will be conducted in online mode. Only Tier-III, descriptive paper will be conducted offline – pen and paper mode.
Q. What is the age criteria to apply for SSC CGL?
Minimum Age to apply for SSC CGL written exam is 18 years and maximum age limit is 32 years.
Q. Are students in final year of graduation also eligible for SSC CGL?
No. One cannot apply for the SSC CGL Exam if he/she hasn’t cleared the final year exam . For all the posts offered through SSC CGL exam, it is mandatory to be a graduate.
Q. May I know for which posts interviews are conducted as a part of selection procedure?
There are no interviews for any of the posts under SSC CGL Recruitment.. The para 9.2 of the official notification for SSC CGL Recruitment 2018 clearly states that – “9.2 Interview component has been dispensed with. There will, therefore, be no interview.”
Q. Is negative marking applicable in SSC CGL?
There will be negative marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer in Tier-I. In Tier-II, there is negative marking system of 0.25 for each wrong answer in paper II – English Language & Comprehensionand 0.50 for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper III and Paper IV of Tier II.

SSC CGL Admit Card

Every candidate who registers for SSC CGL Exam 2018 within stipulated time will be assigned an e-admit card/hall ticket/call letter that can be downloaded from the official website of SSC. The admit card for the CGL Tier-1 exam will be released first followed by the admit card of CGL Tier-2 exam (administered to only those candidates who qualify for Tier 1 exam).

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will release the results in four stages after completion of each Tier Exam. The candidates selected in the rounds progress to the next one.
